TASA is happy to announce a four-week Summer Camp of Telugu Badi.  Classes will be held on Sundays from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM with a short snack break. The Summer Camp will end with a final examination on June 29.

These classes are FREE.  A nominal fee of $10 per family will be charged to cover the expenses. We request you to register for the school by sending details of your kid(s) to telugubadi@tasatexas.org before May 31, 2008.

 Focus:  Written and Spoken skills

Based on the past experience, we found that these intensive classes help children in mastering written and spoken skills. We request all Telugu parents to take advantage of this opportunity in enabling your children to learn Telugu in a fun format. The goal of this program is to inspire and motivate the children to “learn” Telugu. As we all know, it is our responsibility to inculcate our language, culture and heritage in our children.

Our Telugu Badi teachers have developed lesson plans to make Telugu learning a “fun activity”. Lesson plans are appropriate for each age group and these are based on a game approach in teaching conversational Telugu where the kids will participate in role-playing activities. Children will be asked to come up with ideas for various projects, skits where they will use their Telugu vocabulary, sentence formation skills, day-to-day conversation in Telugu, knowledge of Telugu culture, our festivals, our families, our city, and our state.
